Consulted Dr. Sreekar Harinatha (Plastic Surgeon) for Reconstructive Surgery
I do not recommend the doctor
Hoped for better: Doctor friendlinessValue for money
Doctor, simply wasted my time. He is saying, you consult a dermatologist.
He shouldn't have charged me for just speaking for 5 minutes.
Dr. Sreekar Harinatha replied
I'm honestly glad that you took the time to write this. Even while discussing with you I felt I did not get the message home. You are a 37-year-old man who wanted facelift and chin liposuction among other perceived facial issues.
First of all, no surgeon in their right mind would do a facelift for a 37-year-old man who doesn't even have major loose facial skin, to begin with. Nor did you have enough fat on the chin to do a liposuction.
What you did have is what's termed 'body dysmorphic disorder'. As I explained to you; your perception of face defects is not in touch with reality and hence all the surgeries were unnecessary and were hence denied.
I also suggested you meet a psychiatrist to sort out the issues than go on hunting for a doctor who would do unnecessary procedures on you. We have been inculcated to not do any procedures that are deemed medically unnecessary.
As far as the referral is concerned, with your pitted acne and extensive scarring, only a dermatologist would do justice to such issues and you were hence referred.
On top of that, you wanted me to refer you to a surgeon who would do such unnecessary procedures which I denied entirely.
We value our patients and time; that's something you may not appreciate now.
Hope you find peace in the future. Doctor bashing or doctor hunting is definitely not the way forward for you.
