Dr. Gul J. Nankani

Dr. Gul Nankani completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1989 and his Masters in Ophthalmology in 1992 from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. He trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and the Royal Free Hospital, London, which he followed with a fellowship in Anterior Segment Ophthalmology at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Dr. Nankani established his private practice in 1995 at Krishna Eye Centre, Dadar, and set up a second branch at Sion in 2007, since expanding with a centre at Parel. He was an honorary consultant at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai for 12 years and is a visiting consultant at the Central Private Hospital, Sharjah, UAE.Dr. Nankani specializes in phacoemulsification cataract surgery by the No Injection, No Stitch, No Patch method. He is a pioneer in topical cataract surgery and has done more than 12,000 surgeries. Using his experience in implanting premium intraocular lenses, he provides customized visual rehabilitation with spectacle-freedom to his cataract patients. He is also an experienced LASIK refractive surgeon with in-depth knowledge in the management of glaucoma and other anterior segment disorders.
