Dr Dilip Raja Urologist & Andrologist, Bandra West

I visited Dr Dilip Raja’s clinic at Bandra with my mother’s reports 3 weeks ago. She has been suffering with a frequent urinary tract infections for a couple of years now whereby the pus cells were constantly high leading to high fever and chills. Having been so confused with the prior diagnosis and treatment given by the doctors we visited earlier, Dr Raja immediately pinpointed the whole cause of concern were the 2 kidney stones present that were throwing bacterial infection in the left kidney. He suggested the RIRS procedure for removal of the stones. My mother (75 years of age) suffers from acute nervousness and anxiety but Dr Raja calmed her down and explained the whole procedure in detail telling her is regular language and not ‘doctor talk’. Having seeing his professionalism, ******* ********* *** very friendly nature helped in putting her at ease.

Considering we have had no previous experience with any urologist, we had visited Dr. Dilip basis his reviews and ratings on public domain. And good we did that, coz my father who was facing issues with passing urine, had felt much better physically and emotionally after visiting him. He explained every thing in detail and gave us a lot of time. He asked us to conduct some tests and basis the tests he prescribed medicines (as no surgery was required). He is very friendly and makes you feel at ease always. We truly recommend him.

We are extremely grateful to Dr. Dilip Raja for his exceptional expertise and compassionate care. My mother had a very complex and rare case — an AML tumor along with kidney stones in the same kidney. Several doctors advised complete removal of the kidney due to the high risk, as the tumor had almost surrounded it.

Dr. Raja, however, was incredibly patient and thorough. He took the time to carefully study the case in detail and explained the options clearly. With remarkable skill and confidence, he performed a nearly 6-hour surgery and successfully removed both the tumor and the stones, while saving the kidney.

I had a very disappointing experience with the doctor. Despite having a confirmed appointment at 3:30 PM, we were made to wait over 30–40 minutes. When we were finally seen, the doctor was extremely rude and dismissive. He did not listen to our concerns properly, nor did he explain the issue after examining my husband. Instead, he hurriedly suggested a few tests without giving any clear guidance or treatment. Overall, the lack of professionalism and empathy was very upsetting. I do not recommend this doctor based on our experience.
