Visited Dr. Ankita Shah (Pediatric Dentist)
Absolute nightmare of a doctor.
My recent experience with tongue tie removal by Dr.Ankita Shah left me utterly appalled and emotionally distraught. Her behaviour during my surgery was nothing short of disgraceful, she resorted to taunting and yelling in front of her staff.
First of all: She charged me a blanket mandatory price of 25k for 15 sessions of Myofunctional therapy. When I asked if I would need only 8-10, she rudely responded that this was her policy and I should just accept it or move on. Something as simple as transparency about the cost wouldn't have triggered her if she was aware that this kind of pricing obviously doesn't make sense. This 'therapy' consisted of only 15-minute zoom calls and only 4 sessions before the tongue tie surgery. ***** ******** * ***** ** ***** **** ****** ** ***** *** *** ***** ****** ********** S** ******* ** * ******* ** *** ******* ** *** ***** ****** *** **** ********* *** *** ******** *** **** * ******** *** *********** ************ **********
She was extremely impatient and unempathetic, yelling every time I naturally couldn't hold my jaw position. In my past dental experiences, all doctors approached these situations with an understanding that patients are scared or have reflexes that can make them move. They would try to remind me to come back into position. ******** *** ****** **** ** *** ***** ***** ******* ******* *** ***** *** ******* *** ***** ** ******* *** ***** *** ******** *** ********* ****** ***** ***** ** *** ****** ** *** ******** "You were so rude about asking about costing before; I should have never taken your case," ***** ** ****** *** *** ***** *** * ***** ***** ***** ***** ** ** ****** Even when I calmly asked her to have more empathy with me while I couldn't even speak, she kept yelling* ****** ** ******** *** ***** **** ** **** ******* *** **** * ****** **** * *** ********** *** ****** ** *** *** ************* ******** ****** **** **** ** * ***** ***** ***** ** ** ********* **** **** **** ** ****** ** *** ****** * ******* ******** I left her office in tears, not due to physical discomfort, but because of her dehumanising and condescending treatment. *** ********* *** ********** ** * ******* *************** ****** *** ****** *********** *** * ******* ** * ********** *********
At the end of the procedure, I expected at least an apology to be able to move on from that temper flare-up. Instead, Dr. Ankita Shah continued to lecture me, trying to project that I had been behaving badly instead, as if I, as a patient having my mouth cut open, deserved that dehumanizing treatment from her.

I messaged the clinic that I have chosen to discontinue any further treatment. Since then, I have received no apology or acknowledgment. The Dr. hasn't been concerned with checking on a follow-up to see if the stitches are healing well. In fact, I had a fever the day after the surgery and had to rush to another dentist for help. She has also not bothered to fulfill the remaining myofunctional therapy sessions post-surgery that she had valued at 25K earlier. ** ** ***** *** ******* **** ** **** **** ********* *** ** **** ** ** ********** *** ***** * **** ******* **** *** ** ***** my complaint can be easily disregarded. I have incurred a significant financial loss by going to her, and I urge others to exercise caution when considering her services. It's concerning to think that someone with such a volatile temperament is entrusted with patient well-being. This Dr. would benefit from seeking help for her temper issues ****** ** ********* *** ************ ********** *** ********

****** ** ** *** *** **** *********** * **** **** She is really good with her work. I have been taking my Son to her for the last 5 years (he is 9yrs old now)
She makes a child very comfortable, she also informs the parent about the procedure and the do's and don't's very well in layman language.
The Laughing gas treatment for the children is the best thing to have... thwt makes it ao much easier as it takes away the nervouness of yhr child and the child happily gets his/her treament done.
Her recommendation of getting a fluoride done every 6 to 8 months is one of the best suggestions as my son has a sweet tooth and it becomes difficult to keep him away from sweets.
Thanks Ankita.

I took my niece for her first dental visit. She is extremely friendly and makes a dental visit a playful experience. The laughing gas treatment worked wonders for my niece. She enjoyed her treatment so much that she would be always excited to see Dr. Ankita

I took my son for his dental checkup. He completely fell in love with doctor. He is compelely excited to brush his teeth, the way in which Dr Ankita explained. It was made like a play time for him. I'm regularly getting my son's fluoride and clean ups done from her. I'm so satisfied with her guidance that he has not developed new cavities since then.
