Billroth Hospitals, founded by the visionary Late Dr. V. Jeganathan, began its journey with just 30 beds and a commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to everyone. Over time, the hospital expanded significantly, with a 70-bed block added in six years and the acquisition of Kalliapa Hospitals in 2003, transforming into a 100-bed multispecialty institution. By 2007, with the addition of Shenoy Nagar’s S Block, Billroth became a 350-bed super-specialty facility.Despite the untimely demise of its founder on May 17, 2007, his son, Dr. Rajesh Jegannathan, took over the reins at just 26 years old. Under his leadership, Billroth Hospitals transitioned from a multispecialty to a super-specialty institution, setting milestones such as introducing Tamil Nadu's first dual CT scan and pioneering advanced treatments like Rapid Arc Therapy for Cancer. The hospital also boasts a sophisticated NICU and labor ward, making it a leader in maternal and neonatal care.Dr. Rajesh has continued to honor his father's legacy through philanthropic initiatives, offering free healthcare services to underprivileged communities. His dedication to employee welfare and organizational success reflects his belief in collective growth, further solidifying Billroth Hospitals as a trusted name in Indian healthcare.Today, Billroth Hospitals stands as a symbol of quality healthcare, innovation, and compassion, touching countless lives with its state-of-the-art services and patient-centered care.

Visited Dr. R. Vijayakumar (Nephrologist/Renal Specialist) For Nephrology ICU
I had a bad experience today trying to consult this doctor. First of all, no one from the hospital knows at what time the doctor would be coming for O/P. After getting transferred thrice finally a person asked me to come as the doctor is present. My father is 71 years old and has to undergo a surgery. He couldn't even walk properly. On top of all this I took him to hospital and there are lot many patients waiting before us. All of sudden the staff came and asked me to show the medicine reports and files. Within two minutes she came out and said that the doctor has lot many O/P to visit and not ready to give appointment for us. Either they should give us some appointment over the phone or through direct consultation. Just sending a patient without any reason is not acceptable. Never this doctor again !! ***** ******** **
