Everything is so systematic in this hospital. They investigate you first, then they get your vision checked also known as refraction and then the Doctor check.

Every single person right from the reception staff to the Doctor is very soft spoken and they always greet you with a smile.

I was a little scared at first as my eyes were paining from last so many days and I’d seen many Doctors in Pune who scared me a lot but Dr. Vardhman diagnosed my issue and said something that really made me believe that I’m fine.

He said “ just that you’ve come doesn’t mean you need to be treated. You’re absolutely fine just take some precautions and you’ll have go get your eyes checked after 6 months. We’ll observe your problem first and then we’ll go with the treatment if required.”**** ******* *** **** ******** ** ****** *** **** *** ******** ** ************

I strongly recommend Dr. Vardhman to everyone who’s planning to get his eyes checked, even if it’s regular checkup and if you’re planning to get it operated\treated you must consult him once.

Very few doctors actually greet their patients with a smile and hello,Dr Vardhaman is one of them. Very polite and humble, explained the treatment precisely. Staff is also good, systematic checkup process, which reduces the actual wait time. I will definitely continue my vision treatment with Asian Eye Hospital.

I reffered this hospital from Google search. I had very nice experience with Dr vardhaman kankariya. He is done my surgery in this month and I feel better now. I really want to appreciate and say thanks to Dr vardhaman sir and all staff. I will noticed my vision if any issue I will give feedback again

Experience is very good. I came here my website for directly surgery and the experience they give me was absolutely outstanding. Before surgery i was so tens and scared for surgery. after consulting with doctor his guidance is very helpful for, my all scare an tens go away after meeting him, he gives me confidence. doctor is very good man, and also very talented and brave. He did my surgery within 15 min, very smoothly, during surgery their was no pain as such even i didn't noticed that surgery was done. Staff is very cooperative and helping caring.All staff is very smiley face always welcome with worm smile on their face, its very refreshing. Every time they gives special attention to me. hospital management is very high class standard. m so happy now.

Unfortunately a bad experience for us. I called to move my appointment to 3:30 instead of 3 (20 Sept) in case I couldn't make it in time due to the traffic (heavy rains in Pune yesterday). They happily obliged. Some facts that support our unfortunate experience:

1) A lack of prior information on how much time a person needs to reserve for the series of tests, doctor and counsellors meetings that they need to undertake. We met five (one initial tester, one person who queried the history, the doctor, the counselor who explained the packages and then another tester) different people (in different rooms btw) in total and it would have been 6 if I didn't rush off because I had no more time to use in this strange setup. It was a long, arduous process. All in all we spent 2.5 hours in this hospital, and the meeting with the doctor was roughly 5 minutes.

2) Prolonged wait time and a lack of common courtesy. We waited for the doctor for 40 minutes instead of the 20 they originally advised. Met him at exactly 4:42, for a whole 5 minutes (yay!) probably would have been lesser if I didn't ask him questions. Not even an iota of an apology by the doctor for being late or keeping us waiting. It was also clear that the consultation was very rushed as we were passed on to other people to give us more information.

3) lack of attention * ********* ****** over patient needs: the original purpose of our visit was persistent red eyes. This was asked and subsequently noted in the system by checker #2 we met before the doctor as our key concern. However the doctor either didn't read the notes or if he did, didn't care to mention anything about it. I had to ask him for a solution to this problem. It appeared that he was more concerned about the cataract and that we need to speak to this other person who can discuss the packages for the operation to us, and get so and so tests done because they're important relating to the nature of the cataract. I get it that the cataract in one eye is important, but we also had another concern, the main one (eye redness) for which we came - shouldn't you follow your own processes and ask the patient what their issue is if you don't have time to read notes? Another thing was drops were placed in our eyes by the second person (for 20 minutes we had to keep it, which was the wait time for the doctor as well) to assess the health of the retina. No one said anything about how the retina is or the after effect of the drops. I had to ask the doctor this as well. I feel I would have had no information had I not forced it out. That was all the 5 minutes he gave us initially.

We went and took these tests which cost us 1200 rupees. We got the report and no one attempted to give us any information on what the report entailed (there were many numbers, emboldened and otherwise).

I had to demand that it is explained upon which the counselor said this was a test that will be useful when my mother has the surgery something which we did not even agree to yet. Felt a bit taken advantage of at that time (1200 rupees is a lot of money). Upon my insistence she set up a meeting with the doctor who explained the first line to me..I then asked for the explanation of the rest of the report and the response was (verbatim) "I will refer it to another fellow as it would take me three years for me to explain and for you to understand, anyway I have given you the key points" to which my response was "I think as a consumer I deserve to know the results of a report I've paid for" to which he asked me to speak to this other doctor so he can explain it to me. By this time I felt that my money was unnecessarily spent and insulted as well, like I am wasting the doctor's precious time because I would like to understand the detail of the report. I just left then without speaking to the other doctor because it was very late and I was extremely disappointed with this institution and I just wanted to be out of there.

4) Poor hygiene on the toilets of their "platinum lounge", which is dangerously close to the "hospital" where the operated eye patients are. Wish they focused more on patient well being through good hygiene (lesser germs) instead of the evidently hefty investment made in decorating the place and putting up accomplishments pictures, awards and large flat screen TV projections of the Doctor being interviewed by the media.

So reader, maybe it was just an unfortunate day and they are actually good at what they do, but I will never know because I ain't going there again.

Doctor has made it compulsary to get a general test worth ₹5000 to be done before we can see them for 2 mins at max.

I am so happy after surgery. Before the surgery i was in so much trouble because of blur vision, but now my vision is absolutely crystal clear. I will suggest to my friends and relatives for this hospital. I am from Mumbai, and there are also so many eye hospital but this hospital is very much advance in technology, surgery procedure is too much safe and well trained doctor. Surgery as done very good by Dr. Vardhaman kankariya. Staff an doctors are very cooperative and kind in nature. I just want to suggest one thing to Dr. that please visit once in week to Sanapada Navi Mumbai branch it will very help for their patient also.

Overall experience with Asian eye Hospital team excellent.

first off thank you to all Asian team for all all their good wishes and hard work for giving my mom the world of excellent vision.....its like a dream come true for my mom tht she is free from specs....the Asian team has supported a lot for this...we all were unknown about the lasik treatment is to done in Pune..with its best result highly qualified doctors...thn when v came to know it was just a last decision tht we are gone hand over to the Asian team...and today no doubt the best treatment,hospitality v got from this hospital is just outstanding....thank you so much all the Asian family for their support and for making millions of people to smile with their vision of smile.......thank you

The doctor is good no doubt, it's the support staff that is very disappointing. We had visited the hospital for my mothers cataract surgery on 20th oct. The counsellor did not explain to us the difference between Indian and imported lenses, did not help us in making our choice at all, information regarding medicines was not given, that created a lot of problems and confusion last minute, insurance staff is unprofessional, they forgot to process our insurance until i started sending mails, they don't even bother to respond to their phone number. A very good setup and doctor marred by highly untrained and unmonitored staff. Please take a lot of personal responsibility when visiting next time. Staff mocks patients and kins who do Google search for information, but fail to understand that it's because they don't give the information to the patients.

I have done cataract surgery from Dr Vardhman sir for my father in law (both eyes), my father (both eyes) and my grandfather (one eye). Doctor is so nice and very talented. He treats every patient with very friendly. First time in my life I met such a great doctor who treats every patient as his own family member. He is always very concerned about patient condition. H** ******* *** **** **** ********** ** ** *** ** *** **** ******* Hospital staff is really really good. He is not like other doctors. But Dr Vardhman is such a nice and sincere doctor. He has not advised any unnecessary tests for my grandfather because in first test only he found that my grandfather's left eye is not at functional. He is very sincere and very supportive. He tells everything in detail and problems also. He is really very good doctor and I recommend him without any doubt in my mind.
