Dear Sanveet's parents,let me reply systematically to all the points in your feedback: 1) First visit was on 30 June 2019(SUNDAY) ,for very high grade fever, vomiting and cough which was not settling by the medicines given by yourselves and perhaps it being a Sunday,may be your Paediatrician was not available.After calling you for follow up after 3 days you said that kid was fine because of my treatment and hence there wasn't a follow up with me.All records on paper and voice calls are documented 2) Second visit was on 7 July 2019(again a SUNDAY) a day which is reserved for Vaccination for my patients whose parents are working individuals and providing appointment to you specially in such a list is difficult.It wasn't a regular follow up call.This time it was for abdominal pain and decreased appetite for which proper discussion for diet and working on appetite was done..Time given was 20-25 minutes.. Fresh consultation on Sunday after 7 days when no other doctors were available ,for newer complaint (if it was same complaint follow up would have been earlier.)deserves some respect as staff working on Sunday takes more salary.. If there was some objection with the fees it should have been specified prior to the visit ..but I am sure it being a Sunday as it was emergency for your kid you didn't have problem about the consultation..Again after 2-3 days follow up call was given and child was fine..so you were satisfied with the treatment.. 3) On 13 July(Saturday) a call for some loose motions was given in odd afternoon post clinic hours ..After a heavy Saturday clinic I had just reached home late and staff asked to repeat earlier treatment and to visit in the evening..You said you would be coming ,but didn't turn up in the clinic, neither informed that you wouldn't be coming and kept cutting the call. 4) For the weight measurement,if it was done rigorously by the staff,it requires improvement in training,and I will look into it as few new recruits are there cause of increased patient flow.Weight loss is a part of diarrhoea and so that vital is checked..but if a parent disapproves we don't.. 5) Repeated calling must have been done,I agree(and we are sorry for that) as the appointment shows on practo calendar and by default calling is done and if you reply you don't want to come,the appointment gets cancelled in practo calendar which I have done now.But as calls were not responded to, appointment keeps shifting.. If motive was to earn money ,it would be smarter to keep my consultation lowest so that more patients visit and more money is earned..To give quality time,less appointments are taken..And unlimited time and space for consultation is given, which gives a sense of satisfaction,not earned by seeing loads of patients and just seeing them hastily!If someone isn't affording enough, please feel free to inform me,I waive of fees of very poor patients..at least 5 per month are almost free.. Last 5 years of my practice as an individual I don't remember having disappointed a patient on a Sunday ,very well knowing that he/she is opportunistically visiting me but being a parent I know the presence on the critical day is priceless! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to put forward these points as a lot of patients who know me well enough and have faith in me, know all this.. and those who had doubts will get it cleared.Also cutting a call is not an option.Communication is!With all due respect I remain a doctor with a difference 😊Thank you for calling me a good doctor, regarding the talkative point I didn't understand the context,I take it as a compliment.A doctor heals not only by medicine but with her/his talks !🙏
