My son Siddharth is suffering from a phychological disorder, the cause of which is undiagnosed. Due to this the line of treatment becomes complex.
In this scenario, Dr Bastes' logically presented though process to take the treatment forward makes it easy to understand.
Also, his interaction with Siddharth is very clinical yet friendly. This style of treatment is comforting.
I pray to GOD and wish him luck in treating all the patients.
The doctors guidance was very good. We have understood the subject well and look forward to his support in future.
Counseling and understanding of health history results in good treatment.we are very happy with doctor and treatments.wish him all the best.
Very kind. He explained everything to me in a very clear manner. He’s very understanding and listens to your concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.
He always makes me wait for a long time. With me, unlike many other reviewers, he didn't enquire anything about my background. Didn't clarify a lot things properly because of which there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding with him. About time with him, doesn't cares where I am emotionally overwhelmed during the session and has abruptly ended me many times saying times up. Never explained what kind of medicines he is giving me, it's side effects etc. He gave an SOS medicine for panic attacks and I told him that the previous psychiatrist had also given me that and it I didn't help at all even when I took 4 of the pills during one of the serious panic attack I had. Still prescribed the same med and next time I had a severe suicidal level of hopless and helplessness I took around 18-20 of those to control it. And Instead of giving be a better or different SOS med, he just didn't give me any at all even when he clearly knew I overdosed that day I to control panic and the suicidal thoughts and not attempt suicide. He has spoken too rudely to me even when he knew that I was going through a severe panic disorder for more than two months straight and was fully shaken up and was completely unable to work and was facing more anxiety because of that. When one day I got tired , I talked to him and got too emotional and he told me you can go and have a new psychiatrist. This was not at all helpful.
I am continuing with him because a lot of people have give positive feedback about him (and I hope slowly it works for me, that's all I have got for now, hope that he maybe able to help) and also because I already changed from one psychiatrist to another and still not well and it maybe a mistake if I change again, and to start over again with a new psychiatrist is not a risk I can take.
I gave him a list of medicines the previous psychiatrist whom I consulted for a year had confirmed that they were not working and he still continued with one of it. It's side effects were abnormal dreams and 3-4 hours of completely disturbed sleep which I was experience from the time I started his course of med and had constantly informing him about the situation, and finally after two months he said maybe it's the side effects of one of the meds he was giving me at night. I was suffering panic disorder during the same time, added to that avg. completely disturbed sleep with abnormal dreams of just 3-4 hours for two months, and it felt clearly that he didn't care about what I and my mom who was my caregiver and a working woman went through during those times and was always in a hurry to meet next patient. Every meeting he would get three four calls in between the session ( i understand some of it may be urgent, but many times it was clearly some kind of enquiry and he would take my time ) and make me forget my train of thoughts, every meeting atleast 3 calls.
Hes wise and patient and truly wants to help even if the patient doesn't care
He cares .
and receives less appreciation than deserved.
He made me quit smoking. I can never repay him .
It's good that doctors charge money for their services because truly their expertise and care cannot be purchased.
Doctor Ninad Baste was available at the exact time that was scheduled and had a very systematic approach towards analysing my case. He explained all the fine details about my case and helped me with the solution around it. He handled my case in a very calm and composed way. I would surely recommend him as a go to doctor in case you face any issues related to his area of specialisation.
My mother is being treated by Dr. Baste for over 10 years now. She has shown remarkable improvement and stability in her degenerative illness. Interacting with Dr. Baste is a pleasant experience, and we hold him in high regard and recommend him strongly.
He is a genuine care giver counsellor, who understands his patients... As when I met him I was not the patient myself .. I have come to take an interview sort of thin regarding this disease called depression .. and the way he has been talking about this disease showed his genuine concern about people affected by this and he is trying hard to eradicate this or at least to bring out depression as a clinical problem amongst people who ignore it at every level. So I must say that as society when our relatives, our kids are effected badly by this thing we should help Dr. Ninad Baste in his cause :) thank-you so much for reading .. :)
I booked an appointment a day before and was given an appointment on 20th Aug 2016 morning 8:40 AM. I received an confirmation SMS from Practo as well. After reaching the clinic, the clinic staff called the doctor and came to know that the doctor was will not be able to come because he has to visit another clinic. If this was the case then why to book an appointment? While booking appointment, the hospital staff confirmed and then only booked my appointment. This is not at all professional from both clinic and doctor's part. If the appointment is about to cancel then the clinic staff at least have some courtesy to inform patients.
