Dr. Ninad Baste

Dr. Ninad Baste is a good psychiatrist in Pune Aundh area. He is very senior, provides excellent service, and is polite. He clearly explains everything to me.

Dr. Ninad Baste is soft-spoken and caring. It is clear from his demeanor that he has my best interest in mind.

Dr. Ninad Baste is very ************** patient, and devoted, fully focused on complete recovery. The clinic is well maintained and the staff is cooperative and considerate. Although the wait time was a bit long due to heavy rush, it was worth it for the results. I am extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend him to others.

He always makes me wait for a long time. With me, unlike many other reviewers, he didn't enquire anything about my background. Didn't clarify a lot things properly because of which there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding with him. About time with him, doesn't cares where I am emotionally overwhelmed during the session and has abruptly ended me many times saying times up. Never explained what kind of medicines he is giving me, it's side effects etc. He gave an SOS medicine for panic attacks and I told him that the previous psychiatrist had also given me that and it I didn't help at all even when I took 4 of the pills during one of the serious panic attack I had. Still prescribed the same med and next time I had a severe suicidal level of hopless and helplessness I took around 18-20 of those to control it. And Instead of giving be a better or different SOS med, he just didn't give me any at all even when he clearly knew I overdosed that day I to control panic and the suicidal thoughts and not attempt suicide. He has spoken too rudely to me even when he knew that I was going through a severe panic disorder for more than two months straight and was fully shaken up and was completely unable to work and was facing more anxiety because of that. When one day I got tired , I talked to him and got too emotional and he told me you can go and have a new psychiatrist. This was not at all helpful.

I am continuing with him because a lot of people have give positive feedback about him (and I hope slowly it works for me, that's all I have got for now, hope that he maybe able to help) and also because I already changed from one psychiatrist to another and still not well and it maybe a mistake if I change again, and to start over again with a new psychiatrist is not a risk I can take.

I gave him a list of medicines the previous psychiatrist whom I consulted for a year had confirmed that they were not working and he still continued with one of it. It's side effects were abnormal dreams and 3-4 hours of completely disturbed sleep which I was experience from the time I started his course of med and had constantly informing him about the situation, and finally after two months he said maybe it's the side effects of one of the meds he was giving me at night. I was suffering panic disorder during the same time, added to that avg. completely disturbed sleep with abnormal dreams of just 3-4 hours for two months, and it felt clearly that he didn't care about what I and my mom who was my caregiver and a working woman went through during those times and was always in a hurry to meet next patient. Every meeting he would get three four calls in between the session ( i understand some of it may be urgent, but many times it was clearly some kind of enquiry and he would take my time ) and make me forget my train of thoughts, every meeting atleast 3 calls.

Dr. Ninad Baste was very attentive and sensitive to my needs, and he stuck well to the appointment time. The clinic environment was excellent, and the staff were polite and kind. I also felt the fees were reasonable and would recommend him to others.

I recommend Dr. Ninad Baste. The doctor was professional and attentive during the consultation.
