Dr. Ketan Vartak

I feel humbled to share my thoughts and experience with Dr. Ketan Vartak, from March 29, 2025, to the present.

To describe this humble and deeply humane persona, I turn to these words:

"I searched for my God,

My God eluded me.

I searched for my Soul,

My Soul I could not find.

I searched for my 'Healer'

I found all the three."

This perfectly captures what I felt. And as fate would have it, Dr. Vartak and I share an alma mater—Fergusson College—where I graduated 51 years ago.

My extended family has known Dr. Vartak and his father-in-law. A dear friend of mine, a decorated officer from the Civil Services who spent most of his career in the office of the Chief of Army Staff, wrote to me:

"Please convey my warm greetings to Dr. Ketan. Exceptional professional. He had even operated on my late father. Known him and his family for several years. You are indeed in very safe hands."

Profound words, with deep meaning.

When I first met him, I was struck by how much he resembled a close friend—an accomplished Distinguished Fellow from the Tata Group and XLRI alumnus. He connects with the family, explains everything patiently, and within four days, guided us through the process with clarity and care. Every decision is made in consultation.

Dr. vartak is a very good Doctor. We visited him for treatment of Prostate Cancer. He explained us the disease and guided us very well for the treatment to make my father cancer free. Highly appreciate d and recommended.Few highlights -1. He spend enough time with every patient. No rush or no phone calls during counseling.2. No unnecessary tests and visits. Recommendeds the required test only and explain purpose of the test.3. If you have the prior appointment then no wait time. He was always available at the time of appointment. I visited him 4 to 5 times. Never visited without prior appointment so not sure about walk-in patients. No expensive fees either.4. In our case, better treatment was available in city than his clinic. He explained and suggested us to the other doctor for better treatment. No pressure to go through his treatment only. Point of caution- It is a big task to find parking near clinic. Keep some buffer time if you are visiting with own vehicle.

The doctor did not even spend 10 mins with me and pretty much I had to ask all the questions*** ** ****** ** ****** **** ******** **** ******** **** ****** *** *** ***** * * **** he only said you are okay and it’s not a kidney problem... when we visit a doctor we expect more from them

Never go to this doctor, he is a not a good doctor as per my experience, without disclosing the reason doing the check up and then disclosing the high fees..later for urination problem he's demanded 8-9 lakh rupees from me .Think the charges what he is asking for...never visit to this doctor..also don't rely on net take suggestions from a person which is having idea about any good specialist.

Dr.Ketan Vartak has given very good treatment. Good suggestion for avoiding further damages of kidney and urinary tract organs.He suggested to operate in time by lasor surgery.Also givan good information about lasor surgery. Lasor operation of urinary tract stone was done by Dr.Ketan Vartak very good and in short period.Thanks to Dr.Ketan Vartak and also suggesting Dr.Mahesh Chitanis and Dr.Shalaka Joshi.

The nurse staffs are ruthless, do not know how to behave with patients. Old patients cannot visit the clinic since there is no lift. You have to climb two floors with steep and long staircase, which is really difficult. Shoe rack is kept on the midway and half- way you need to climb stairs barefoot. Doctor is very ************* *** experienced. I would recommend him for sure.

Doctor did good treatment. But I noticed for same treatment Doctor told me charges around Rs.9000 for self pay and when I did payment with my office corporate medical policy (cashless) then he took around Rs.23000(almost 2.5 time more). So be clear about this before treatment.

Great dr with experience. I get my father operated and it went very well. But I am not happy with the facilities in the clinic. AC was not working, electric points in the room were not working, tv was there without remote. Everytime I have to search for the nurse if I want something. So dr is good (actually amazing) but not the clinic facilities.

I had taken my father for a laser surgery for urine stone at Pramodini. Doctor is experienced and the surgery was successful. However we were not told that my father may have fever after as an after effect of surgery,which lead to a chaos and we were scared.... The fever did not subside even after taking med. Sir was not in pune so we contacted the nurse there and now she comes home To give injection via IV as per sir S instructions..

He explained the health issue very clearly. Also suggested all possible solutions to address the issue.
