I am 69 year old. In May 2022 I started small pain in my left hand and shoulder. The pain grew day by day and restricted incrementally my left hand movements as well as the strength, Stiffness increased in My Arm and behind the shoulder muscles. While at Pune in October 2022 to my great luck I found information on Practo about Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir’s Shoulder and Knee Clinic at Aundh Pune. My first appointment with Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir went very well, he listen to my problem, the treatment done so far intently and examined me . Dr. explained possible causes with help of model. Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir prescribed for MRI. I was diagnose for Adhesive Capsulitis + SSP Tear for my Left Shoulder. I underwent Left Shoulder Arthroscopy for Rotator Cuff Repair procedure on 09th Nov. 2022 at Sahyadri Hospital by Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir and his Team. All the care were taken care during procedure by Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir I am very grateful to Dr. Abhay sir for his sincere efforts to resolve my issues. Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir ensure of care before procedure and after with well-planned pain-management and small exercises. Allowed sufficient time for healing before he recommended actual Physiotherapy. I went through Physiotherapy for two months and now I am able to do my daily routine activities about 90% .

I am sure it will improve further with continued physiotherapy. My sincere thanks to Dr. Abhay Kulkarni sir and his Team, Thanks to Dr. Manisha for coordinating the entire process and managing my appointments. I thank Dr. Jagruti for meticulously planning my Physiotherapy sessions. Over all great experience I always felt confident in process.

This super positive review is for Dr. Abhay Kulkarni. We had first met him approximately 10 years back when my mother had a wrist fracture. A doctor in Mumbai (not disclosing name) had suggested a surgery and we decided to get her in Pune and consulted with Dr. Abhay. He assured that it will be healed with a plaster and it indeed got healed. We feel we were lucky to have found him at the right time.

Now again, my mother was having shoulder/upper arm pain for months. After evaluating usual causes like, sleeping position / vaccination etc. etc. , in her routine checkup with diabetologist, who suggested that it could be due to frozen shoulder recommended exercises. Even after excises , when there was no relief , we googled for Dr. Abhay and found the Shoulder and Knee Clinic in Aundh. Booked appointment immediately at midnight. Dr Abhay examined her thoroughly. Since her pain was unbearable, he recommended MRI. It was diagnosed that she had a rotator cuff tear and surgery was suggested. Dr Abhay successfully completed the surgery in Sahyadri Hospital on 29th oct 2021. My Mother is currently undergoing post surgery care. Will update this review of how she is feeling after 3 months.

My mother (aged 66) who is typically very skeptical of going to a doctor surprisingly is very comfortable with Dr. Abay. It is because of the way he attends his patients. He gives them ample time, comforts them by explaining things in simple words and deals with lot of sensitivity and respect. Thereby assuring them of better life. Thus making him an ideal choice for elderly patients. We feel he is more of a friend :)

Regarding the clinic, it is a chic place at a convenient location, parking is usually available and appointment time is respected.

Medicines/Surgeries cure diseases but only Doctors can cure patients. Dr. Abhay is one such doctor who is blessed with healing hands. May God give you strength to cure many more patients.

I am 35-year-old and I got meniscus tear(bucket handle tear) around a year ago. The tear was so severe that my range of motion was blocked, and I could not straighten my leg completely. I could not walk or drive bike car etc. I could not bend my leg beyond 90 degrees. It was very horrible situation and got too many restrictions on day-to-day activities. I was frustrated and was not sure whether I will be able to resume normal life again.
