Dr. Sowmya Mam - As name suggests she is calm, pleasant who wears smile which makes her go-to Dr and every patient is comfortable in discussing their respective health issues/ advices.

To be honest- One can trust her on her advises without any second thoughts. She is a professional doctor with positive attitude.

She is very much approachable on call/whatsApp at any time of day, hence it gives a peace of mind, as one knows that Dr. is available in case of any emergencies.

She keeps tab on patient's health and knows history by heart. She is very good with diagnosis and expert in her area(gynaecology).

My wife is regular visitor since 2014, as she finds Dr. Sowmya very approachable and understanding. Because of her deep knowledge in this area, she is aware of know-hows and hence your queries are answered without being asked. This happened number of times with us.

Pls let me share personal experiences-

1. My wife was pregnant and admitted to Chandra (name changed) hospital in month of September upon her advice because of abdominal pain on 21st September 2022. Since abdominal pain was not subsiding for 2 days, she immediately suggested to shift to Mars (name changed) hospital. At there, she had diligently handed over case to her husband Dr. Hemant Kulkarni, who is expert with his diagnosis and managed this case further. He then along with Gastroenterologist and Surgeon (Dr.Pattanshetti & Co.) managed to understand the reason of pain and decided to perform surgery (on my wife, then pregnant lady), Doctors team performed successful surgery on 27th September where Dr. Sowmya stood besides us and was there in OT to assist other doctors so that she can take action i.e. doing delivery, if needed. She was updating us with the progress of surgery and kept us relaxed by giving assurance that things will definitely go well. It was really a complex situation, Dr. Sowmya was following up on treatment given very closely and timely assuring us of well being. She really had given best moral support, felt like an elder Sister standing behind. My wife got discharged in 1st week of Oct. It doesn't stop here, Dr. Sowmya was in continues touch till my wife feels better and readily available for us even though she was very busy with her work.

2. It was delivery time in Dec, was planned for 12th Dec. However due to early labor pain 2 days before it was required to admit wife on 10th midnight at 3 AM, Dr. Sowmya was available then on call and advised to get admitted ASAP. She performed delivery at 6 AM without any follow-ups as we were assured of her actions.

Both Mom and Baby did well and was discharged.

3. There were many instances post delivery and first surgery wherein Dr. Sowmya had helped us on timely manner even when she was on holidays.

We are very much impressed with her crisp, to the point treatment (she won't call you to hospital if not needed), well mannered, subtle behavior. Thankful for all her assistance so far and looking for guidance, suggestions in future with same zeal.

She deserves a pat on her back for all the complex work handled so far.🙏🏻

Dr. Sowmya mam is a perfect blend of softness as like her name in her behaviour with patient and tough in terms of her skills and experience to resolve associated problem. Me and my wife first consulted her for pregnancy before 2 years. At the very first instance we felt connected with her. It says if your half of the ailments gone seeing a doctor, you are in a very safe hands. And Dr. Sowmya mam is a perfect example of it. On our consultation journey each time my wife felt free of uneasiness even by meeting her only. On our first chance, we had to abort it on 5th month due to some unavoidable incidence. This incidence shaken my wife. At that time Dr. Sowmya mam personally assisted her 15 to 20 min. at hospital itself and consoled her like an elder sister. Her sentence that time was " kalaji karu nakos. Tuzi delivery mich karnar" (as Don't you worry. I'll do your delivery for sure.) That conversation gave my wife a very strength to recover quickly from the trauma. And this also strengthen the bond between Dr. Sowmya mam and us more. By the time my wife got pregnant again, there was a phase of Covid-19 and also a lockdown. During this pandemic situation the care taken and support provided by Dr. Sowmya mam was just beyond the profession. She took all the care like a family member. My wife went under encerclage surgery and that's why needed an extra care. Dr. Sowmya mam never made any unnecessary need of consultation at clinic. Despite this if consultation needed, we found that the staff was already instructed by her to send us in immediately as we come at clinic considering my wife's critical health. I haven't seen this level of personal care by any doctor I have ever met. She was always available on call and wtsup. I remember many of the times I texted her and she replied promptly even though it was too late at night. And sometimes she directly called also. Trust me one can't tell how comfortable and confident feeling it is when you know that your doctor is just a ring away from you. She made possible all the required blood tests, Covid test at our door step. I must share here an incidence which can make you understand what involvement mam make with her patient. When we were planning for hospitalization for delivery, we were planning it on Sunday. And suddenly mam remembered that at the time of abortion last time my wife got excessive bleeding. And she told us that if it is so we should not plan delivery on holiday to avoid any unavailability of supportive medical care facility. She asked me for the confirmation and I was unable to recollect it. Then she asked for previous discharge card and it was written exactly the same as she remembered. That made me and my family speechless. No doctor can simply have this kind of power of recollecting the things when busy consulting so many patients daily untill he/she has involved with patient at personal level. There is a saying that if you want to become good at anything, you need to be the good human being first. Dr. Sowmya Kulkarni is an another name for this term. She is just not a good doctor but a great human being. Because of all the efforts, care, support and nurture by Dr. Sowmya mam we are blessed with a healthy baby boy. Now we have not only got our bundle of joy, we have also blessed with Dr. Sowmya mam as an elder family member to whom my wife can relie blindly for solution of her medical problems if any without any second thought.We highly recommend Dr. Sowmya mam, if you are looking not only for the good doctor for your problems but a genuine person whom you can relie 200%. All you need to do is have to consult her at once and you will find your self in a very safe hands. We wish that Dr. Sowmya Kulkarni becomes more and more skillful in her practice and achieve great success in her future. When we thought of expanding our family and got home pregnancy test positive, we chose Dr.Soumya mam as it was nearby choice available. However, on our first visit only we were impressed with her warm and soft spoken welcome and advise for first time parents. However very next day I started bleeding, but mam has cleared all our doubts on call and advised for further blood tests assuring its very common to have chemical pregnancy. With all these days we were sure that we are in safe hands and at right place to get consultation. Later 3 months I again got positive report and visited clinic, mam did not repeat blood tests unnecessarily which we had done 3 months before. And also gave all precautionary medical prescriptions in single visit(due to covid situation to avoid clinic visits for common symptoms) which any pregnant lady might need for next 3 months. Also shared WhatsApp and call support number for any queries or doubts. Mam has cleared all our doubts patiently over complete 9 months of pregnancy. Always available on WhatsApp and call with no delay and always assured us that everything gonna be smooth and always ensured we do not visit clinic unless it's needed due to covid. We are blessed with baby boy as C-section, mam personally greeted me in OT before surgery and assured that all gonna be fine. With just mam's presence and her smile, I used to feel much better. I got discharged within 4days. Mam's smiling face and soothing voice is something makes patient recover faster, ofcourse career experience and skills matters most and she is 100% at it. After post hospitalisation dressing as well mam is always available on call for any queries that I have. I will highly recommend Dr. Soumya to anyone who need best gynaecological consultation

Words are not enough to express our gratitude towards Dr.Sowmya Kulkarni. We were expecting our second child after 8 years.We were at hometown for the first 3 months and after coming back to Pune ,one of my friends referred us to Sowmya mam.When we met her for the first time she explained everything very calmly with her pleasant and friendly demaenour.We were assured that we were definitely in safe hands.We had missed few tests at hometown which mam asked us to do. My entire pregnancy went very smoothly under her guidance.She always tries to find the root cause of any problem.She was always just a call or message away.Finally the day had arrived.I was very anxious in the OT but once mam came and told me that "Don't worry Poonam.Everything will be alright Just relax."I was so relieved by her words and our little girl was delivered by her through c-section on 2nd May 2021 at ONP Leela hospital. We had multiple complications to conceive but Dr. Sowmya mam handled it very patiently and also helped us to handle the situations very calmly.

We were at hometown for the first 3 months and We had missed few tests at hometown which mam asked us to do. After coming back to Pune ,my entire pregnancy went very smoothly under her guidance.

She always tries to give very less medication and encourages for natural way to improve health of fetus.

She was continuously there on Wassup & phone call to help me during these 4 difficult years and  even after the delivery ,both at hospital and even after coming home.

Not only one cute baby boy added to my family but one more family member added in my family as elder sister.

Sowmya ma'am is competence and confidence personified with mastery over her skills. I have relied on her for successfully navigating through both my pregnancies of which my second pregnancy was high risk with complications.

Sowmya ma'am explained the issues, options available to me as a patient and the pros & disadvantages of every option clearly which enabled me to plan accordingly. Ma'am was extremely vigilant about the tests that had to be performed and pro-actively followed up with me about the test reports.

Ma'am is always extremely patient, courteous & approachable via messaging to resolve even the smallest issue & I was able to reach out to her even at odd times.

Having Dr. Sowmya Kulkarni as my doctor made me feel relaxed and not for a second was I nervous during both my C-sections as I knew I was in safe hands. I was consulting with Dr Sowmya for my 2nd pregnancy and I would like to share with everyone that she is the best gynaecologist I have met. She is too much supportive and friendly, she solved my all problems very well. I was worried a bit due to the Corona pandemic conditions, but Dr Sowmya made me comfortable and provided all the support whenever required. The good part is we can call her anytime and can seek the support from her which was so grateful.

Dr Sowmya Kulkarni.. Its hard to find words to describe immense caring and concerned doctor like her. She has been a pillar of strength and courage for me throughout my pregnancy duration. She is so caring, confident, professional yet friendly and very clear about the treatment. She listens to the patient and gives clear instructions and advise. She goes out of the way to support the patient at odd hours.

Mine was a high risk pregnancy. She took all the precautions and gave correct treatment. She explained all possible complications which we might face, but never scared us. She always boosted me with positivity and confidence.

I am blessed to be treated by a great doctor. Dr. Sowmya is one of them who is kind and humble. Words to appreciate her efforts and dedication towards her duty is inadequate. She has a motherly touch and understand her patient

so well. She is always there with her patient and available at any point of time. She is quite diligent and sincere towards her duty.

During my pregnancy I was concern for Normal delivery than C-section as normal delivery has more Pros and very less Cons compared to C-section. She helped me to deliver both my children normally with lots of patience and with her expertized experience.

When I first met her, she spoke quite fast and most of the things bounced over my head. When I asked her to slow down then she explained me all the things very clearly and clarified all my doubts and queries.

I do understand that she has to speak the same thing repeatedly in a day hence, it is quite an obvious that she sometimes speak bit fast ;)

I have first consulted Dr .Sowmya Kulkarni around 5 years before.During the first interaction itself, I had a very much positive connect with her and she motivated me very well which helped to stay strong and positive. She had done my 2 deliveries and the support and care she took for both my deliveries was very good. She is very approachable and just a call/ msg away when ever needed. Sowmya mam behaves very much cool and she explains the causes of problems very well .I have referred Sowmya mam to my other collegues as well and they were also very happy with the treatment/care that they have got.
