Visited For Paediatrics - Chest
Hoped for better: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for money
We visited this doctor in Sep 2019. My daughter was having high fever and cough. He prescribed some medicines. After 3 days the fever was gone but she was coughing, so we visited again.
without much checking, he just asked to get a chest X-ray done from Agarwal imaging center which is beside the clinic building. and said "I will examine based on reports" ***** ** *** ******** *** ******
We went there with our child who was crying and not well. Got the X-ray done and showed it to doctor.
He said "The reports are not normal. There is Pneumonia detected in her chest and you have to Admit her for 5 DAYS in the hospital". He insisted to get her admitted and the staff was making hurry saying "Let us know your decision fast there is only 1 room left".
I was surprised as we had visited this doctor 3 days ago and her health should be improved instead of going down.
I sensed something is wrong when he asked "Do you have her Mediclaim ?" ** ***** ****** ******** **** **** ** *** *** ******* * **** ** **** *** *********** ** ******* ****** *** ********* ***** *** **** ****** **** ****** ** ********* ****** ****** They just DO NOT CARE if it's a old age person or a child !!
I called my husband and he also refused to get our daughter admitted there. I left the clinic with my daughter immediately.
We then took 2nd opinion ** ****** ************ *** *** *** **** **** ** ************ ******** ** ********* * ** **** ********* ******* ***** *** ****** ****** *** *** *** ******* **** ** **** ******** *** *********(Note: We had visited this doctor for my daughter earlier as well , never got satisfactory results. we stopped going to him after above incident. Very Money minded,
Suggested unnecessary tests like chest x-ray, blood test, urine test just for fever on first visit itself.
I was scared and wanted quick recovery as had to join office so i went through the tests.
Next day when i went with the reports and asked what do the reports say - she arrogantly replied you can read the reports, its all figures given.
As a doctor its your responsibility to explain what are the reports conveying about the patience's health and what was the need for each test.
Also Day1 when i was ill, she tested body temperature via thermometer, properly checked breathing etc by using stethoscope on back as well as on chest. Next day when i speedily recovered and just went to show reports, as a doctor, ideally as bare minimum she should have checked body temperature via thermometer. She said i will examine you today again but she simply touched stethoscope on my body once on chest and back lightly and said you have recovered. She didn't even bother to check body temperature. Was a through check not required that day as well to conclude? How come by one touch of stethoscope she understood i was well now?
Also on Day1, she suggested me to buy one tablet costing 500 rs which was for cold and flu - which she said don't take now. Take only when you come back and show me the reports. If the reports suggest some infection only we will take.
I am an educated person and understood the tricks. Hence didn't purchase that medicine from shop as it was not required at that moment. Had it been someone uneducated and unaware of these doctor tricks, they would have unnecessarily purchased that expensive medicine. Why did the doctor asked to purchase the medicine when the patience was not supposed to take it before the reports?
She had asked me to record body temperature on back of my case paper every few yrs, so that when i come back, that data will help her. But when i went back, she didn't even bother to ask me if i had recorded or even care to look back if there were any recordings
I will not recommend anyone to visit her again. A doctor's responsibility is to educate the patient about why these tests are required? to diagnose what? etc.
The more transparent the doctor is, more good it is for the patient. Instead of being transparent, i feel she is way too arrogant.
I didn't get a polite and satisfactory answer when i asked why were so many tests required for just fever?
Day1 - Consultation charges - 350 Rs
Day2 - Consultation charges - 200 Rs [Just for reading reports and writing some vitamin tablets even though i was not that weak]

*Note : The single star rating is just because there is no option for negative markmark. and whaterver this hospital deserves is just because of excellence of Dr. Dole (pediatrician)
An unfortunate Incident my family had to face:
My 2 yr old son was having a high fever 104.2 on 18 mar 2019. we arrived at hospital by 2:30pm. and the doctor asked us to get admitted.
we performed an admission process and opted for the private room. The room was uncomfortable against the cost if 3400/- per day (discription mentioned below). for lab report payment we have to go outside of the hospital on main solapur highway go to aryan center the Shodh path lab and it took 15 mins to get the change and receipt. also for chest x-ray ww had to go to sam building the Agrawal imaging center. the staff there is so arrogant that they insisted us to wait till then prepare bill and reports for 20 mins while my kid was suffering from very high fever.
Just for the doctor's excellence we neglected the inconvenience of the so called private room. The bed in the room was so narrow and without fencing that my wife and son cannot sleep on it together and high chances of him falling from bed during the night.
considering the risk I asked dr Dole since 7:00pm for better arrangements for the patient. his reply was:
"That is the only bed we have and u have to adjust"
upon asking for extension or extra bed by side his reply was:
"No extra bed available and attendant bed can be used" (which is 4-5 inches shorter than patient's bed and not possible to use as extension)
After asking him that we are neglecting all other discomforts in the room but at least patient should get a comfortable and safe bed.
his rply
"U may leave the hospital right now" huh... it was 9:45 pm and my son had 102.7 fever
I asked him Will he be fine if we go home
his reply
"No, he won't, so may be you all can shif to semiprivate rooms" but the bedding was the same there.
upon discharge @10 pm the dr charged 6000 and mentioned on the bill as DISCHARGE AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE, where as he had provided an option to leave himself.

Doctors: very expert *** ************* but very rude 1/5
Staff: fine 2/5
Facilities: 0/5
Rooms : 1/5 as there are just basic surgical patient bed and treatment equipments.
The special room lacks basic facilities (i dunno why people call it as "SPECIAL")
such as:
-No separate toilets
-No heating facilities (water or milk)
-very dim lights
- No power back up
-No A/C's
-No space or cupboard for keeping personal belongings
- The private room is actually a store room wherein all the bedsheets, approns and etc is kept. and the staff keeps on disturbing every 10-15 mins for accessing the storage.
-cleanliness: 2/5
-Beds: The petient's beds are so uncomfortable for kids as it doesn't have any fencing. infants who has to sleep with theirs Mothers cannot manage as the kid may fall during the sleep. And hospital doesn't have any option than ask the patient to leave. (too harsh and rude attitude of Doctor)
completely not worth for 3400/- per day
Path lab facilities: NO u have to go outside, have a pleasant (?) walk on solapur haighway and go to Aryan center
X-RAY/imaging facilities: NO. ***** *** ** ************ u have to get ur admitted kiddo (inpetient) outside of the hospital, have a nice pleasant (?) walk on solapur highway, go to Aryan center, and visit a rude staff of Agrawal imaging center.
