I had right shoulder anterior dislocation in Nov 2022, Orthopedic has advised for non-surgical treatment and immobilized in a sling for 5 weeks . My range of motion in Jan was about 20 degrees, which terrified me, if I will ever be normal, as I could barely raise my hand to attend any basic needs. Hence, I have approached “Active Life” Physiotherapy, Dr.Kiran and Dr.Sujana did the initial diagnosis and assigned me to Dr.Sujana.
more..This is a long pending review. I relocated to Hyderabad at the end of September 2022 with a stabbing pain around my lower back, and the pain was concentrated mostly on the right side. The pain was so severe that I was not able to do forward bend or take steps, but I kept ignoring it and fed myself some painkillers, hoping that it would be all better. It did not get any better, and I started searching Practo for a physiotherapy center, and I came across Activelife. I booked myself a consultation with Dr. Kiran in mid-October 2022. Dr. Kiran did the initial diagnosis, and Dr. Sujana took it from there. From the very first day, Sujana was extremely patient with my never-ending questions and gave me an overview of how this stabbing pain would be dealt with in each session. This was my first time to a physiotherapy, and I was scared that I probably had an affected bone or something, but she assured that it was only a stiff muscle that was causing the stabbing pain. She started the sessions, and initially, the focus was just to reduce the pain as much before ultrasound or electrotherapy. I remember reporting a pain on the severity scale of 9 out 10 when I started the session. I booked a 15-day continuous therapy, and in about a week and a half, the stabbing pain started to go down. Each session used to start with Dr. Sujana checking on me and asking me about the severity of the pain. She was genuinely concerned, and she did everything to give me relief. Each session used to be for 1.5 to 2 hours, and I never saw her rushing. She was patient and understanding, and she kept me going. There were times when I was impatient due to the pace of treatment, but she kept telling me that physiotherapy is slow but effective, and in the end, I would definitely benefit. After the 15-day session had ended, I continued for 5 more days, although Dr. Sujana said it was not needed. I was so surprised with my slow but steady progress. When the 20-day therapy session ended, my stabbing pain, stiffness and diclscomfort were down to the scale to 1.5-2. The therapy included ultrasound, electrotherapy, and traction with hip joint mobility exercises. Dr. Sujana mentioned that I could choose to come back to the center once a week just for the traction. otherwise, I could continue to exercise, and things would be back to normal. I went back there a couple of times just to get the traction. 3 months from when I started, I was back to normal. I highly recommend this center and especially Dr. Sujana. All the other members in this center were so friendly. May be that is the reason why a 2 hour session does not feel like a therapy, and it feels homely. Nobody would ask you to vacate the bed or rush you to complete your exercises. They allow you to complete your exercises at your own pace. I am grateful to Dr. Sujana for being there throughout and helping me come out of my suffering.
