Psychodiagnostic Testing:
Psychodiagnostic testing is used to help diagnose and clarify concerns regarding behavior, personality traits, mood, emotional functioning, and cognitive processes.
Psychodiagnostic assessment may be helpful:
1.When a client is not responding to psychopharmaco therapy / psychopharmaceutical treatment and a clarification of diagnosis is needed.
2.When there is a history of trauma (especially long-term exposure) and there are concerns that current symptoms may be partially attributed to these experiences.
3.When substance abuse is suspected as a primary contributor to other psychological disorders, or when it has developed as a secondary problem due to an individual's inability to utilize healthier and more adaptive coping mechanisms.
4.When there are problems in interpersonal relationships, especially when these issues are significantly impacting an individual's functioning.
5.When you are confused regarding the source of a yours behavioural or emotional problems.
6.When there is a history or current problem with self-harm or suicidal ideation

It is important to get a proper diagnosis by booking an appointment with me or any other therapist. Further you should take care of yourself by forming a routine. Each day in the morning plan your day in advance. You can choose on very simple basic tasks to begin with. Ones that need your attention and you have been procrastinating. Make a list and strategise around. Do this every day. This is definitely going to be challenging in the beginning but you would come around with practise and efforts. It would help tremendously if you include exercise in your day plan. It calms your excessive thoughts down and lifts your moods. The chemical reactions of exercise in the brain are similar to anti-anxiety and antidepressants. You will be able to achieve this if you take care of healthy intake of food at regular intervals. Avoid addictive substances as they slow you down and disturb your system. Practise breathing slowly inhaling and exhaling for 3 seconds each few times a day. Sleep at the same time everyday and keep away the distracters while you are in your bed. Spend time outdoors in sunlight and close to natural resources. Slowly take up responsibility towards yourself in terms of taking care of your absolute worries and negative thoughts. Start writing them down and find evidence for and against them. This is certainly a tough one but once you decide and begin you will be able to continue. Always carry a writing pad with you. Once you are done tear and the sheets every few days so that you do not keep getting back to them. Talk to your family and friends express your feelings and seek support. Do not be ashamed or guilty. These are illnesses which people commonly support from and all of us need help from people who care at different points of life. Practice accepting yourself with all your strengths and weakness. Do not be hard on yourself or others. Develop a sense of gratitude towards life. Pursue your interests, plan them out, and do not give up. It always helps to be you.
