Wisdom tooth
So i went to the doctor today and asked wether should I get my wisdom tooth removed and he said no because I have enough space in my mouth to grow it so should I still be worried. Because on internet it says that if it doesn't grow properly it can even cause tumour in mouth

Wisdom tooth extraction is a normal procedure as we suggest to remove it. Because it may cause pain and discomfort in later stages.
But it's not the case with everyone. You have space to accommodate wisdom tooth. So let it grow and come at it's own pace.

It will cause tumor only if the pain and infection is ignored for a long time.
If the tooth is erupting well then it won't cause any problems.

If your doctor says there is enough space to let it grow no need to extract... If within 6 month of span it doesn't grow upto level of other tooth please visit your dentist again.. pain or any kind of swelling report to doctor immediately

The dentist would be able to see from the xray and clinically whether it has to be removed or not. If they havent erupted or you have any issues like neck pain, ear pain or headache or cheek bite, kindly take another opinion fro another dentist or oral surgeon

If the wisdom tooth is not causing any kind of discomfort / pain and no abnormality seen on X-ray then you don’t need to get it removed right away.
You can take X-rays at 6 months interval and keep it under check.

Hi,
Please do not worry about the tumour aspect as it has no relation to an unerupted tooth.However if your wisdom tooth has not erupted even after waiting for about 6 months it would be advisable to get it extracted.It is called as an impacted tooth and it can cause problems later.
