Wisdom tooth Pain
Hello Doctor, I am 22 years old. My wisdom teeth are erupting slowly since 2 years, and I have sometime pain only on left bottom tooth. Actually i dont have a tooth beside the wisdom tooth. I took Opg and all wisdom teeth are coming at wrong angles but the other three are not causing any pain. The one in left bottom also has some pus near gums. Sometimes I get chest pain which i think has a link to the infected tooth because it feels like that. Is it possible? Thank You!!

Dear practo user Your chest pain is not related to wisdom tooth, but you need to consult a general physician for a proper diagnosis. Regarding the wisdom tooth, get it removed as soon as possible

Hi, The normal age of eruption of wisdom teeth is between 17-25 years of age. But if there is not enough space they get stuck in different angles. In such case they cause food lodgement and swelling in gums which may lead to decay, pus formation or pain. Mostly you will not encountered chest pain or heaviness as it's not directly related though severe pain may result in systemic complication. The best treatment plan for such cases where we see no possibility of complete eruption of wisdom tooth or third molar is to go for surgical removal under local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia. Meanwhile analgesic, antibiotics and warm saline gargles will give you some relief.
Next Steps
No medication without consultation... Hope you know your problem better now and correlate...
Health Tips
No extra oral hot fomentation or any intra oral application of home remedies...only warm saline gargles or ice application ..
