Hello, I had a pain in lower wisdom tooth and sharp upper wisdom tooth. I live in Germany. I went to doctor for extraction but they are suggesting to go for general anaesthesia for extraction due to my lower tooth touches the nerve deep inside. Please give me your suggestions. And also please let me know what is cost for wisdom tooth removal in India.

Hello . If the looks very close to the nerve you may also need scans to confirm tooth and nerve position. My question is how long are you here is India? . As the procedure is surgical . It will need few weeks to heal . And follow up visits. I would suggest that you get the procedure done in your native. Fee depends on your case complications ,diagnosis, general and dental health . Hope this helped

Hello.
In some cases of impacted wisdom tooth, the yooth is in close proximity to a nerve which makes the process of surgical extraction of the tooth uncomfortable and painful even after injecting local anaesthesia. In such cases we usually recommend the patients to undergo in general anesthesia so that the patient doesn't feel discomfort, the surgeon can perfom the surgical extraction properly and if any other wisdom tooth needs to be addressed then that can be done too in the same time.
