Hi. It looks like both your lower third molars are erupting which is very common at this age. And that is cause of pericoronitis on the lower left side. It may happen on your right side also. Now it should be clinically evaluated that antibiotics are required or not depending on the severity of the infection. One this is sure that you will need to get both the lower third molars extracted at some point of time in future.
Next Steps
For now you can do some warm water and salt gargles, also you can use some chlohexidine mouthwash and keep that area clean. You can take some analgesics if the pain is more.
Health Tips
Don’t eat hard things. Consult your dentist if swelling or pain increases, he might put you in some antibiotic therapy. Take care

You have impacted third molars. Which means that they don’t have any space to erupt and so they are stuck in the bone. Pericoronitis is a common problem associated with impacted third molars. The only treatment is removal of the impacted teeth. Medication and local therapy can give temporary relief. Recurrent attacks of pain and swelling is possible. The final and only effective treatment is removal. Since you dont have a lot of discomfort you can plan the surgery. You definitely dont have to rush into doing it immediately as you dont have a lot of discomfort. It is best to plan the surgery according to your work and other conditions. You may need a couple of days off post surgery. So plan accordingly.

If this is the first time that you had pain then you can wait as Usually the pain recurs. If the frequency of the pain or infection increases then you will need to remove the tooth.
Next Steps
For now I would suggest a soft and cold diet for the next few days. That should solve the problem.
