Wisdom tooth
Hi, I am 25 years old. Because of the growth of my wisdom tooth, I have a severe toothache on the right side of the face. I haven't removed any wisdom tooth yet. My first one is growing now. Can I take Tramadol 50mg to get rid of this pain?

Wisdom teeth mostly erupt in the age of 17-25 yrs. If your wisdom tooth is properly aligned it may be in its Eruption time hence causing u discomfort . In that case a short course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory will solve ur problems along with warm salt water rinses. On the other hand if ur wisdom teeth are tilted, they will never erupt in the mouth completely and will keep giving u this trouble once in three months or so. Hence please get ur opg done and then consult. Also u can take tramadol but it causes dizziness and drowsiness to some. It better to take ketorol dt two tabs starting dose and then single tab at night. Along with warm salt water rinses. Please make sure u r not allergic to any medication.

You can take antibiotics and painkillers for symptomatic relief, but most of the times, wisdom tooth needs extraction if causing problems.
Next Steps
