Wisdom teeth growing
My wisdom teeth has started to grow and im having little pain and discomfort at that area. I went to dentist he prescribed pain killer and some antibiotics. I want to ask why antibiotic is prescribed? i only have pain and not other symptoms. Should i still consume antibiotic prescribed by doctor?

You are suffering from pericornitis...in which there is swelling and redened soft tissue over tooth. ..so treatment in this case is irrigation of that area and take medication or remove that tooth

Antibiotics are prescribed to relieve infection underlying the inflamed flap of erupting wisdom tooth.you have to consume the Antibiotics to subside symptoms.

Yes.you do hv to tk the antibiotics as it helps to subside the inflammation around the wisdom tooth .
Next Steps
Get an Xray done and depending on that the doctor will decide.most likely it has to be removed if it's half erupted and has no further space to erupt.
