Wisdom Teeth Extraction
One wisdom tooth on left side has broken and is causing pain while the other one is normal. Doctor has asked me to remove both the teeth on that side to prevent future compilations. I have heard that post tooth removal there is TMJ pain. Since I have a history of intermittent TMJ pain, should I remove both teeth at once or remove the other tooth after a gap of a few months?

At present remove the tooth which is paining, as mouth opening for a long time may give u tmj pain. Get d other one extracted after 3weeks.

The demands of wisdom teeth are extravagant. Whether its in terms of space, maintenance or treatment. Hence, broken or not it is sensible to get them extracted. Today wisdom teeth extractions are done under 3 layered anesthesia, which makes the procedure bearable. Since there’s a history of TMJ pain, long time mouth opening can be tedious for u so it’s better u go for one tooth extraction at a time. You can plan extraction of both at a gap of 1-2 week.
