What to do at AFI 5
I was just diagnosed with AFI value 5. I am 32 weeks pregnant. And FHR is 174, and baby weight is 1.7 kg approx. Doctor has advised me to deliver my baby within a week.  My AFI came at 8.2 about 2 days back and now it's 5. What should I do???

You should take two doses of Betnesol and go for Caesarean within 2 days after that. So far your baby size corresponds with the gestation period. As time passes it will start lagging behind. AFI is a good index to show that baby is compromised. You should have Caesarean in a place where they have NICU facility.
Next Steps
You should go to the local Medical College (if there is one in your city) because they will have NICU and it will be less expensive.

Every 3rd day Umbilical artery doppler with NST can help in better  tracking of the baby followed by weekly growth scan. If absent flow in dopplers or no interval growth in weekly scans, delivery might be required. REDUCED FLOW can be stretched max 2-3weeks.
Health Tips
left lateral position plenty of fluids Arginine sachets & Astymin forte might help in some ladies. comorbidities need to be strictly controlled.

Sudden change in AFI is point of concern... try IV fluids, ARG 9 sachet... repeat scan after 1 week...if still less, you might need preterm delivery. More points to be considered... please consult
