Wet cough and coughing

Asked for Male, 1 Years

He is suffering from coughing from last 4 days. I give him Relent syrup 2.5ml. But today still he is coughing though improvement shows little. Cough coming from nose some time and vomiting sometime. How many days coughing continue? Should I mix ascoril la drop in relent syrup?

Hello,you can give ascoril ls syrup but do not mix it with relent cold ,ascoril ls ..2.5 ml thrice a day .also avoid oily foods ,dairy products .even if cough does not subside with this consult your local paediatrician as examining the child is important

Its better you use maxtra syrup and nasal saline drops 1 drop each nostril.

Next Steps

once see his chest , for any retractions (chest indrawing between ribs) and any increased respiratory efforts or any abnormal sounds during breathing. * if any of the above present go to near by hospital immediately

if you have a nebulizer in house give him nebulisation thrice a day with 3% normal saline
