My husband is 30y old. He is 5ft 6in and 77kgs. He has been putting on weight a little too much since the last two years. His work is not sedentary, as he is posted in a factory location where he has to move about quite a lot. His thyroid levels are normal as well as blood sugar levels. But his triglyceride and uric  acid levels are a little high. However, he is not on any medication.He has three chapatis for dinner along with vegetables and for lunch he has rice, veggies, nonveg and dahi. Breakfast is usually two chapati with some fry and tea. He smokes and drinks,not regularly but frequently. How should I help him lose weight? I just read about intermittent fasting, is it beneficial?

Hi you can reduce with diet n exercise. U don't need to take any medicine . Diets are just normal food with different combinations. Diets are according to medical history also Plz consult directly

Surely will help you, no fasting is not good because fasting increase more acidity as well... He need to take soft diet.. like khichdi, dalia, lite dal soup, avoid kidney bean,blackgram whole, bengal gram whole pulses,spinach, full cream milk etc... Change your cooking oil every month, drink water frequently...

For reducing wt follow main things like diet, exercise and brisk walk. Don't take only three main meal. Small and frequent feeding should be included in your diet. In between gaps add more fluid & roasted item In ur diet. Avoid smoking & drinking. Early morning take lukewarm lemon water with one tsp roasted flax seed. Add more fruits and vegetables should be included in your diet.

Please ask him to give up smoking totally n drinks also.Take more of fresh fruits and vegetables.In non-vegetarian avoid red meats n go for chicken or fish. Regular exercise other than his factory activity is a must.
