Water requirement
Hi, My son is now turned to 7 months old just wanted to know can I start offering hid RO boiled water? If yes, then how much should be offer quantity and frequency? If No, then whats should be the idle age to start with. Thanks!

After 6 mth baby should be given water., Specially after semisolid diet.You can give RO Water or boiled water.

Yes , he can have RO water . Quantity can’t be specified . It will be according to the thirst of the baby. You can offer him water in a bottle . He will suck as much as he wants. If he is not bottle fed, please give him water with a spoon and katori. Later ,switch over to a small steel glass when he is able to drink more.

Water can be introduced when baby is 7 months old.Though the main diet source remains milk 4-5tsp of water can be given through katori spoon every 2hours

Yes,you can give water in sips no fixed quantity because all food items also have some water and start semisolid diet like dal,dalia,khichadi, mashed potatoes and fresh fruits and homemade food items in mashed form.

Breast milk will have sufficient water content. Just target urine output of 4 to 5 times a day. You can water if the baby accepts. Please do not overfeed.

Dear parents, According to me stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet like Dal,dalia,khicdi alu kela rice,apple,upama,halwa,patolia,rab,kadi idle poha satu custard etc and from 80pmto8am give mother milk is preferable To start with stop milk for 4hrs for 15days and give semisolid diet next 15days stop milk for 8hrs and give semisolid diet lastly stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet. When you start semisolid diet can give water as per kid demand. No boiled water, give what you drink.
