I am sure you can come down to your ideal weight within coming months ( and maintain it too). Its about making small practical changes in your activity and diet pattern one by one. You can start with 10 minutes of organized home exercises and slowly increase the duration and intensity. Go for a 15 minute after lunch or/and dinner walk. Rather than going on a diet, its important that we understand your current eating pattern and make small doable changes one by one. Like eating 1 fruit as mid morning snack, keeping a gap of 2 hrs between dinner and bed time, stating a meal with raw veggies, including few nuts as evening snack, limiting eating out to twice a week etc, limiting intake of packaged and processed foods. Start with one healthy change, get used to it and then go to the second one. So that this changes become a lifestyle.
