Hi doctors,
I have persistence vulva itching from 5 months, I have applied multiple ointments, gel, creams etc. It reduces a bit and again it comes back.
The skin there looks different and peeling is also happening near by that area.
Im afraid it will not go away and it has become permanent issue.
Itching usually starts 10 days before periods and lasts 10 days after period, itching reduces and again this cycle repeats.
Ointment, lotion, gel, creams used so far are, candid, candid-b, lulliford, clonate, fluconazol etc.
Please help.

Itching is mostly because of fungal infection
Topical application alone never helps because the skin has got six layers
whatever you apply does not penetrate all the six layers
the fungus simmers in the lower layers and comes back again when the topical medication is withdrawn
Fluconazole is not the drug of choice to treat fungal infection
You can connect for a prescription
Also you need to be examined to rule out leukoplakia
