Vomiting and stomach upset can occur due to viral gastroenteritis, food poisoning, gastritis, or other gastrointestinal conditions. It is important to maintain adequate hydration with ORS and take easily digestible foods.
Next Steps
If vomiting is persistent, associated with severe abdominal pain, fever, blood in vomit/stools, reduced urine output, or signs of dehydration, prompt medical evaluation is required. A detailed history and examination are needed to determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment. You may consult for a personalized assessment and management plan.
Health Tips
maintain adequate hydration with electral sachet and take a bland diet

Hello. Based on your symptoms, this presentation is typical of Acute Gastroenteritis (stomach flu) or Food Poisoning, likely triggered by a viral or bacterial gut infection. Sleep deprivation can also temporarily weaken immunity and alter gut motility. Symptomatic Medical Management: Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORS): Drink 1 sachet of ORS dissolved in 1 liter of boiled and cooled water. Sip small amounts throughout the day to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. Antiemetic (for Vomiting): Tab. Ondansetron 4 mg (Odem/Ondem) — Take 1 tablet 30 minutes before meals/fluids if vomiting persists (max twice daily). Fever & Bodyache Relief: Tab. Paracetamol 650 mg — Take 1 tablet as needed (SOS) after food if you have a fever (above 99°F) or body ache. Antidiarrheal/Probiotic: Cap. Econorm (Saccharomyces boulardii) or Sporlac twice daily for 3 days to restore healthy gut flora.
Next Steps
Follow the Hydration & Medication Protocol: Rest and sip fluids continuously for the next 24 to 48 hours
Health Tips
Hydration Strategy: Do not chug water all at once, as it can trigger vomiting. Take small, frequent sips of ORS, rice water (kanji water), tender coconut water, or clear broth. BRAT Diet: Stick to a light diet like Bananas, Rice (kanji), Applesauce, and Toast. Avoid milk and dairy products for 2–3 days as temporary lactose intolerance can occur after stomach infections. Avoid Irritants: Strictly steer clear of oily, spicy, fried foods, caffeine, carbonated drinks, and outside food until your gut recovers. Rest: Get adequate rest, as lack of sleep can delay physical recovery.
