Vomiting and diarrhea

Asked for Female, 6 Years

For fever vomiting diarrhea and headache,Doc suggested calpol (sos) and ondem 5ml (sos) and pantodoc(20mg) and bifilac sachet for 3 days, she is ok after taking one dose of each ,she is refusing to take bifilac,do I need to continue pantodoc medication,please suggest. Her weight is 21kg

Pantodoc tablet prevents gastritis symptoms. Bifilac is for diarrhoea. It is probiotic helping to regain our good gut bacteria. Consult ur pediatrician who have examined the child before stopping it or better to use it for 3 days it doesn't have side effects. Pantodoc can be stopped.

Next Steps

Give soft diet and boiled and cooled water and maintain hygiene.

1. Best treatment for diarrhoea is maintaining hydration by giving ORS or other home made fluids.
