I recently got my Vitamin D level check and it shows the level as 18.5 ng/ml which seems to be insufficient, what needs to be done to bring this back to normal levels

18.5 mg/ml indicates deficiency of vitamin d.You can use calcirol or d-rise sachet 60000 iu weekly once for 10-12 weeks along with calcium supplement daily.Exposure to sunlight for 20-30 minutes in the morning,milk and other dairy products, eggs and codliver oil capsules are very rich source of vitamin d .

Vit D3 deficiency usually occurs due to lack of exposure to sunlight,deficiency in diet ,malabsorption. Apart from treatment now the above causes has to be removed to over come it.
