Vitamin D and calcium
My mother has very rare exposure to sun.I want to ensure enough vitamin D.However i am afraid if she can take 60k vitamin D3 weekly as She is also taking Idrofos kit that contains daily calcium.Is it required to stop daily calcium supplements and take 60k vitamin D3 alone.In general also for everybody is it recommended to take weekly vitamin D3 60k supplements along with daily calcium supplements?

In the age of 65 years there will be chances of osteoporosis because of menopause... So there is requirement of calcium... So it should be given
But vit d3 should be given on blood reports...

You can advise your mother to take calcium supplements.
Next Steps
Get her S.Vit D3 and S. calcium levels checked. without the reports Vit D3 shouldn't be taken as it may lead to hypervitaminosis.

1)Vitamin D3 can be taken with calcium.
2)It is not recommended for everyone to take weekly supplements of vit D3.Ideally,Vit D3 levels should be checked and accordingly substituted in general population

No she doesn’t require additional vit D3 as the Idrofos kit also contains Vit D3 as per body requirement.
So there is no need to take additional supplement.
For other people it depends as per the age, gender co-morbidities.
