Yes you must see your orthodontist at least once a month to adjust the braces. However if it is more than a month once in a while it doesn’t matter . Only the movement is slower and your treatment gets prolonged

Average of once in a month visit is needed but the orthodontist may ask for a shorter or longer time gap depending on your specific condition. There is no ideal and there is a little flexibility permissible if the clinician feels so.
Next Steps
The response is different for different people and the clinician schedules your visits accordingly.
