Virginal itching
I’ve been experiencing this issue for the past three to four years, and it causes itching at the entrance of the vagina. Most of the time, the infection isn’t detected, but the itching still occurs, and I haven’t been able to find any solution for it. And now the problem I’m facing is that the itching sometimes occurs in the upper part of the vagina and sometimes at the entrance, but whenever I get it checked by gynaecologist, there’s no infection detected. Still, I take the treatment, and it gets better with the medications and ointments, but after a while, the itching comes back again.

Recurrent vaginal itching without a confirmed infection is quite common and usually points toward hypersensitivity, dryness, or hormonal imbalance rather than an active infection. Homeopathy helps by correcting the root cause so the itching doesn’t keep returning. You can consult me online with your full symptoms so I can guide you properly.

Hello Practo user. Your vaginal itching either is due to any infection or may be due to dryness. But as you are saying according to your gynecologist there is no infection may be it is due to dryness of the part. Or due to use of period napkins or due to unhygienic underwear or that part. Also sometimes the infection not seen in examination so do some test and consult with Homoeopathic doctor. Your problem and recureency both resolve with Homoeopathic medicine.

You have to bear in mind that infection is not the only cause of vaginal/vulval itching. Minor vulvar itching can result from using products that irritate the sensitive skin around the genitals. These may include: menstrual pads certain materials in underwear underwear washed with scented laundry detergent creams, soaps, or lotions, especially scented brands latex condoms fragrances in deodorants or douches friction or chafing from underwear, skin folds, or sexual activity Common skin conditions can cause itching around the vulva. These include: lichen simplex chronicus lichen sclerosis lichen planus vulvodynia vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia psoriasis seborrheic dermatitis allergic contact dermatitis folliculitis dermographism, or skin writing
Next Steps
For further evaluation and treatment consult Dr Tanmay Palsule online or offline at Chinchwad or Pimple Saudagar clinic
Health Tips
1.Douches and other vaginal cleaning products can cause irritation and impair its ability to clean itself. Instead, a person can wash the vulva once a day using water or an emollient. 2.Avoid scratching or rubbing the skin when it feels itchy, as this can worsen the itching

It can be due to bacterial infection which causes microscopic cracks in the vaginal wall which can cause itching often. It needs to be treated in a holistic approach for complete recovery. Just applying creams will not help for a long time.. It can be well treated with homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects. You need an expert Sexologist who is a good homeopathic physician.
Next Steps
I have been working as a Homeopathic doctor and Sexologist for the last 17 years of experience. You can contact me through an online appointment for further assistance.

I understand how upsetting it feels when reports are normal but the itching keeps coming back. This often happens due to inner sensitivity, dryness, hormones, or hidden allergy—not just infection. Creams give relief, but only temporarily. Homoeopathy helps by treating the root cause gently and preventing recurrence.

Hai, According to your symptoms , if there is no infection then it is irritant / allergic dermatitis or hormonal imbalance. It definitely needs a permenant cure. Usage of antibiotics and steroid itself will cause recurrent itching due to loss of natural immunity. 3 out of 4 women suffer from this condition due to many causes and homoeopathy has wonderful medicines. No worries......
Next Steps
You can easily take an online consultation now or book video consultation for further treatment guidance.

Hello Madam, I truly understand how frustrating and emotionally draining this problem can be especially when the itching keeps coming back despite multiple treatments, and even after your reports show “no infection.” Many women feel helpless in such situations because the discomfort affects daily routine, sleep, intimacy, and peace of mind. You are not alone in this, and your symptoms are very valid. From your description, this does not look like a simple infection. When itching keeps recurring despite normal reports, we usually consider deeper causes like: Possible reasons for recurrent vulvo-vaginal itching even when tests are normal: Chronic vulvo-vaginal inflammation (not always detected in routine tests) Pelvic floor muscle tension causing referred itching or hypersensitivity Hormonal imbalance, especially around late 30s (estrogen fluctuations can cause dryness + itching) Recurrent fungal low-grade infection that becomes dormant and reactivates Contact dermatitis / hypersensitivity to soaps, liners, panty material, shaving, pads, perfumes Lichen simplex or lichen sclerosus (needs proper examination; often missed if mild) Gut imbalance leading to repeated vaginal flora disturbance Stress-triggered itching due to nerve hypersensitivity in the vulvar area High sugar levels or borderline insulin resistance, which increases recurrence Most women go through cycles of: itching → ointments → temporary relief → recurrence, which means treatment is targeting only the surface, not the root cause. Why your problem keeps returning Because the underlying cause—whether hormonal, dermatological, hypersensitivity, or vaginal flora imbalance—has not been identified and corrected. Routine gynaecological medicines give relief but don’t prevent recurrence. How I can help you As a homeopathic doctor with 23 years of experience treating chronic female health issues, I focus on the root cause instead of only giving temporary ointments. In a detailed consultation, I assess: your hormonal pattern gut health stress & emotional influence exact location and character of itching personal tendencies (dryness, discharge, skin sensitivity) any triggering foods, detergents, clothing menstrual history patterns of recurrence Once we identify the exact cause, I create a personalised long-term treatment plan that: stops the cycle of recurrence, reduces hypersensitivity, balances the vaginal flora naturally, and prevents future flare-ups. Most women start feeling improvement within a few weeks once correct treatment begins. You don’t have to suffer silently Your symptoms are real, and a chronic case like yours requires a holistic and individualised approach, not repeated antibiotics/creams. If you wish, you can connect with me through online consultation, where I’ll take your complete case in detail and guide you step by step toward lasting recovery. You deserve comfort, confidence, and long-term relief—I'm here to help you achieve that. Warm regards, Dr. Jyoti Kadkol (Homeopathy – 23 years experience, Women’s Health Specialist) Health Global Homoeopathy Clinic, Vijayanagar Bangalore www.healthglobalclinics.com
