Hi. My friend's vaginal swab test report says "culture shows growth of normal flora of vagina after overnight aerobic incubation at 37°C".
There are also two remarks saying "1. Result of culture and antimicrobial susceptibility test need to be correlated clinically. 2. Previous history of antibiotic usage may influence the growth of microorganisms in vitro".
What does it mean? Thank you.

It means that they have incorporated their Format which they give to all those patients who get vaginal swab culture done. If infection is there, they will expose those bacteria to antibiotics and see if the bacteria are affected by those antibiotics or not.
In your case there was no infection but by force of habit they have included the last two sentences.
It means nothing specific, the results are normal
Which may be either due to prior intake of medications or sometimes you just can’t rely on reports you will have to look for symptoms
