Hi my son is 1.5 months old and he was given OPV, IPV, penta and Rota vaccination almost 4 days back. He had fever and was advised to give paracetamol drops. He has no fever now. But after vaccination kid is drinking milk only from right breast and not drinking from left. Wat might be the reason. Also he cries before urinating. Pls advice

Hi I can fully understand your worry
Feeding has got nothing to do with vaccine..
Baby crying before passing urine.. better get a urine RM test done.. to rule out urine infection

Kindly check while feeding from left breast.... site of penta Injection in compressed or not
As the site of injection of penta in usually painful
there is no relation between feed from 1 breast and vaccine
Crying while passing urine and stool is normal.
Hi. There may not be any relation between vaccination and feeding preference to right breast. So, dont worry. Its ideal to feed from both breasts. Some position change might help. Also when the baby is hungry, try feeding first in left breast, again this might help. If you can feel your left breast is getting engorged and painful, you can express the milk and feed the baby. This might help reduce your breast pain also.
Regarding urination, some of the babies might cry during urination as its natural for them to feel some pain just before passing urine. So dont panic. Its advisable to consult in person your pediatrician once to make sure we are not missing out something if symptoms persisting
Health Tips
if baby gets fever after 3-4 days of penta, it may not be related to vaccination. we may have to look for other causes
