Hi my dad has urine bladder cancer since from 5years low grade every 3 or 6 month will do biopsy in January doctor saw 2 tumors they send to lab results is low grade cancer found today again they did biopsy they found red patched what it mean please ans me

According to history given it seems he has recurrent low grade tumors and now may be associated with CIS. Would like to know if he has recieved intravesical BCG anytime. Would need to excise 2 tumour and take biopsy from red patch

Hello It will be more useful if you send the biopsy report. The most important risk factor for spread of urinary bladder cancer is whether the tumor is muscle invasive or not. In this case as the patient is on follow-up ,it is likely to be non muscle invasive. If the tumor is non muscle invasive, then the T staging in the biopsy report ,CIS ,etc are important risk factors for recurrence. Thus ,it will be helpful if you send the biopsy report.
