Upper teeth pain
My upper jaw edge tooth decay. Before six months I consult doctor she cleaned and filled the cavity at the time. Now I am getting toothache. Kindly advice can we remove the tooth or can do root canal

Hello, first of all if edge tooth which you are referring to is the wisdom tooth and it is not completely erupted or not alligned properly and there is no opposing tooth to it better go for extraction, if not so it is properly alligned go ahead with RCT. But if it is your second molar than definitely go for root canal treatment and save that tooth as it is an important tooth for chewing. Thanks

Namaskaram, The pain you are experiencing can be because of a number of reasons , some of which can be the deep dental caries, periodontal pocket etc . You need to visit the dentist and get a couple if X-rays done so that the extent of caries can be determined and if there Are any pockets then they can be treated too. These periodontal pockets are formed because of the bone recession due to the accumulation of tartar deposits. You need to get a through scaling and deep cleaning done to get rid of these deposits.
