For pain you may take tab paracetamol. If severe , you can take tab diclofenac 50 mg along with cap omeprazole 20mg . If it is a long standing pain , it needs to be evaluated. I would like to know the duration of pain , any associated nausea, vomiting , history of trauma , fever , jaundice , loose stools , alcohol intake , urinary complaints
Next Steps
If pain persists , you may need to do further investigations including blood routines , xray abdomen , etc
Health Tips
if very severe , consult a physician

Your symptoms suggest a gall bladder or liver pathology but your sonography scan is normal. Please consult a General Physician in your area for a physical examination and further management
Pain in the RT upper abdomen could be due to liver disorders, stomach related, gaseous etc.As your results are normal, the continuous pain needs to be evaluated by visiting a physician in your area. For the pain relief you can take rabeprazol 20 mg once daily and mebevervine 200 mg twice daily for a few days.
Dear Subhashri,
Thank you for sharing your concerns. Upper right abdominal discomfort can be associated with various conditions, including gallbladder issues, liver conditions, or even musculoskeletal problems. Given that your ultrasound results are normal, it’s important to consider other potential causes such as referred pain, gastrointestinal issues, or even stress-related factors.
Here are a few steps you can consider:
1. **Detailed Evaluation**: A thorough clinical examination and review of your medical history are essential. This may include additional tests like liver function tests, thyroid function tests, or even an endoscopy if needed.
2. **Dietary Adjustments**: Avoid fatty and spicy foods, and maintain a balanced diet. Small, frequent meals might help if the discomfort is related to digestion.
3. **Medication**: Over-the-counter antacids or pain relievers might provide temporary relief, but it’s crucial to avoid self-medication without a proper diagnosis.
Given the complexity of your symptoms and your existing thyroid condition, I strongly recommend a detailed consultation to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs. I think need to consult any physician with your reports and then will go with further line of management,as need to take complete past history properly... TC
For upper abdominal discomfort, try home remedies like applying heat or cold compresses, drinking ginger tea or ginger ale, taking antacids or acid reducers, eating smaller frequent meals, avoiding spicy or fatty foods, staying hydrated, practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation, and avoiding tight clothing that puts pressure on the stomach.
