Since when are you drinking? A lot can be explained if the duration and frequency of your drinking is known. You must have already read all about alcoholism and how it affects the brain cells? Rather you gradually lose different brain cell connections. These are signs of inherent anxiety and initial signs of depression.
Next Steps
Do consult a psychologist for specific therapies for anxiety and de-addiction
Health Tips
When sober, just counter your negative thoughts. Example: You feel you will have a heart attack. You can always counter and ask did I ever actually get a heart attack? Ans: No. What will happen if I die, counter: the rate at which I am drinking I am sure to die. OR I am young and healthy why will I die, I will work harder to take care of my family. You need to practice on regular basis to counter your negative thoughts with practical thougts.

Alcohol does make anyone feel good and happy, when one becomes dependent on it. But in the longer run also impacts the way the brain helps you to cope with life and stressors. Therefore when sober you cannot feel the control you typically should have in life. Anxiety thoughts, sleeplessness, and persistent worry and fears engulf you when sober. Your brain loses its capacity to think logically and behave rationally in the longer run.
Next Steps
please consult a clinical psychologist to help you manage your thoughts and feelings, also to help you reduce your dependency on drinking.
