Unprotected sex
My partner and I had unprotected sex on February 2, 2025. During the second round, I believe some sperm may have been discharged inside or near the vaginal opening. Her last period started on January 9, 2025, and she was expecting her next period on February 9. Her cycle has been regular for the past three months, averaging 28 to 30 days. Given this timing, is it necessary for her to take an emergency contraceptive pill?

Since ovulation occurs 14days before periods, emergency pills are not required. Wait for periods

Emergency contraceptive pill is not required. However if she doesn't get her periods on time she should do a urine pregnancy test when she is overdue by 5 days.

With the last periods date mentioned she was not in the ovulation period on the day of unprotected intercourse. Hence no need to take emergency contraception now. Urine pregnancy test can be done if periods are missed this cycle. Please connect for further advice on this
