Ulcer in tongue
I have ulcer in my tongue from 20 days. Sometimes it pain but generally it is not paining. It also look different from ulcer but i have visited my nearby doc. He said it is ulcer. One medicine shop person who have approx 30 yrs experience told me it is fungus. I don't know what it is. But it's burning while I eat salty. I have also acidity issue since 3 years so doc told me that it is might be due to acidity problem. I had constipation some days before. But doc gave me medicine after that I have not constipation but the problem still there. Doc gave me medicine like providac, esofine dsr, smuth, kedpod cv, metron, Mactotal, vitamin c tab and also a gel zytee. I have applied zytee gel, laxomox plus gel, candid mouth paint. Now what to do pls help. Should I wait or go for biopsy. I had a bad habit of pan masala but not regularly. Wht to do pls help...

Any non healing ulcer that doesn't heal within 4 wks needs to be ruled out by biopsy. On examination an ENT specialist can rule out type of ulcer- aphthous, traumatic or whether a patient needs biopsy to rule out any dysplasia or neoplasia.
