Typhoid with severe cough

Asked for Male, 38 Years

My seven year old son is diagnosed for Typhoid and he is on medication (Anti biotic given by doctor), however he is having very high cough and he couldn't sleep peacefully. even for cold and cough the doctor prescribed some tablets (Citrizen with ambroxy comination). can any one suggest any good medicine/ health practice for recover from cough

Steam inhalations will help,and use nasal decongestant drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. If wheezing or breathlessness is not present,you can start syp deletus-D 6 ml thrice a day for 3 days. If not improving OR accompanied by above 2 symptoms,consult your paediatrician.

Continue the same medication with antibiotics It will take it's own time to decrease cough Keep ur child well hydrated with plenty of oral liquids including water Fruits juices and ORS if needed
