Dear dr my 7 year old son suffering from come and go fever from past 6 days widal test done typhi O antibody is 1:160 typhi H antibody is 1:80 dr prescribed him augmentin dds syrup and zanocin 100 two times a day can u plz tel me are these antibiotics are helpful in typhoid plz help 🙏 thanks.

Ofloxacin is no more recommended as the first line treatment for enteric fever according to IAP. Neither is ampicillin group.
Put him on Cefixime or azithromycin. If the fever persists, need to give iv medications.
