We diagnose Typhoid by Widal test. When you take full course of antibiotics for Typhoid , your body will be cured but not your Test reports. It takes quite some time for Widal test to become negative. So if you don't have Fever , you needn't repeat your treatment for Typhoid.

Widal of 1:160 is very common and it shows antibody titres. Dont go for widal tests as it is not conclusive. Widal shows the extent of antibody in ur body. If u want to know wether u have typhoid or not go for IgM typhidot test. Widal test will always be positive as it shows antibody titre
