Tuberculosis Question
Can TB bacteria affect any part of the body without affecting the lungs at the same time? I have heard TB usually affects the lungs, but can spread to other parts of the body. In such a scenario, is it possible for a person to have TB at any other organ, and show no signs of TB infection in lungs (i.e., no cough, no sputum, no breathing troubles at all) ?

Hello there. That's a really interesting question by the way. Just for your knowledge, TB has been reported in all parts of the body except for the cornea and vagina (I think it was vagina). Mycobacterium is a versatile bacteria with has penetrated the Indian population deeply. So yes, it can affect almost any part of the body. Hope you find this helpful
