Tuberculosis
I am under ATT from 16th March 2022. I was diagnosed with Pulmonary TB as I had a persistent fever of about 102.5 everyday (3 times) and night chills. I have the right lung pleural effusion, which has improved over the days. After the diagnosis and medications, night chills, weakness and shortness of breath has become better. In short I am doing much better than what I was undergoing when I got admitted to the hospital (11th March 2022). I am eating well and the urge to eat is there too. I weigh 66.50 and have been put under Akurit4 tablets empty stomach every morning, however every evening when I casually check my temperature..it is 99.9-100.5 I don't feel feverish at all, infact my body is not hot also yet temperature is there. I want to know how long this temperature will be there even though it has been a month now.

Usually 6-8 weeks ATT in intensive phase relives all symptoms including temperature. You are having pleural effusion so doing sputum for AFB is not requred but folloup done by X- Ray chest.
Next Steps
Your therppy would be 9 to 12 months depending on Radiological and Clinical progress.

Do not measure temperature, un necessarily. As, clinically, you are improoving, you need not worry. Pl do sputum for Afb after 2 months. That is important. Pl consult Pulmonologist online with all the reports and treatment taken.
