Triglyceride levels
I have done cholesterol test done yesterday .Total cholesterol 230 & triglyceride 400. Other Hdl & Ldl level normal. Is it control by life style or need medication. Pl suggest. I have no Bp & Sugar

As your age is 54 yrs, u can start on medication for raised cholesterol and triglycerides. My suggestion is to reduce carbohydrate and fat diet for the control of triglycerides. Consult physician

Understand your concern If you aren’t diabetic or hypertensive; then it’s probably because you are overweight . So, you need to follow strict diet control and do aerobic exercise for atleast an hour daily . If it persist , we should start you on statins
