Tooth pain
Hello,
My grandmother is suffering from tooth pain, the color of tooth is yellow, not sure if it's spoiled. Tooth is near molar region. She has bearable pain. How would we proceed? Does the tooth to be extracted or root canal be fine?

Get an IOPA X-RAY done for the tooth and proceed according to the X-rays findings.
Sometimes cavities happen from the side of the teeth, which are not visible.
Please check if she has a problem with food getting struck in the gums..,as it also causes pain though no problem may be there with the tooth.
Please explain to the dentist if she is on medication for any medical condition before proceeding with treatment.

Is your grandmother diabetic? Ideally an xray will help decide if we can safe the tooth. If it can be saved root canal is the way to go, otherwise extraction will likely resolve the problem, provided her general health is fine. Do get a consultation with a root canal specialist. An Iopa(x ray) of Tooth in question has to be removed to give a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. But if the tooth is firm a root canal would be possible

It only confirmed by taking X Ray if it is possible to save you should save tooth by root canal treatment
