Visit or consult doctor online or offline. By examing into oral cavity damage can be analysed. Sometimes only restoration can solve your problem and sometimes it's need to go through Root canal. It all depends upon the extent of damage. So consult doctor as soon as possible.

If your tooth has lost half of its structure and it's not paining i would suggest Visiting your nearest dentist will be the best option. Get your Xray (IOPA) done before taking any treatment
Next Steps
In case IOPA shows pulp involvement get the RCT done.

First consult with dentist If your tooth is restorable then filling will be possible No need of Root canal treatment If pulp of your tooth is exposed then dentist will go with Root canal
